A graduate of the London College of Music, Debbi Lindley's music skills are in high demand. She achieved a distinction in her MMus in 2017, at the same time as being a regular and popular accompanist for other students.
She has extensive experience of a variety of genres. Her ability to play a number of other instruments gives her an empathy with those she is accompanying. She has studied under the internationally renowned Nataša Šarčević, including participating in the sixth International Masterclasses in Narni 2016. Debbi has been honing her skills as a Musical Director. As a result, she is becoming increasingly in demand.
As an accompanist, she is able to turn her hand to most styles and genres. She has excellent sight-reading skills. Her ability to put her fellow musicians at ease creates a relaxed atmosphere. This is especially beneficial for those taking exams.
Her skills as a Musical Director includes working with the cast and being a real team player. Again, her ability to put fellow musicians - and performers - at ease is as important to her as anything else. This creates an excellent working atmosphere, helping to create high quality end performances.
Debbi has extensive experience in solo (both instrumental and vocal), choral and chamber work. She studied music at Kent College after winning a scholarship, where her love for music blossomed.
After a gap year, she gained her BMus (Hons) at Kingston University. Debbi then achieved her MMus with distinction in piano accompaniment and performance at the London College of Music, Ealing. During this time, she has become the regular accompanist for many of the other students.
An established and popular Rehearsal Pianiast and Musical Director, she has directed several shows for the Hinchley Manor Operatic Society. At present, she is directing "The Wedding Singer". With BANOS Musical Theatre (Banstead & Nork Amateur Operatic Society), she is currently playing Reeds for their forthcoming production of "Bad Girls". She is also working with Woodmansterne Operatic and Dramatic Society as Musical Director for their show "Below Stairs". She has worked with the Kingston Vale Theatre Group, directing the music for their performance of "Oliver".
Debbi has also played clarinette and saxophone with the Mitre Players at their recent performance of "Me and My Girl". This took place at the spectacular location of the Minack Theatre in Cornwall. During summer 2018, she ran a summer school for the Hinchley Manor Operatic Society - "Disney Through the Ages".
Debbi is also available for accompanying, piano performance (solo or ensemble), vocal and choral work and teaching.
